Cotton Avenue Plaza

Rendering of proposed Cotton Avenue Plaza renovations
In July, the Macon-Bibb County Commission voted to appropriate funding to redesign the triangular green space between Cotton Avenue and Second Street! Thanks to a 2015 Macon Action Plan proposal of how best to repurpose and maximize the use of this area, this space will be transformed into a pedestrian, passive sitting area for all to enjoy. This project is a prime example of what can happen when we collectively reimagine spaces with people in mind instead of vehicular traffic. We cannot wait for this project to get underway!
