Property Locator: A comprehensive Downtown Properties Database is available on this site. NewTown staff can also act as a liaison with realtors and businesses to help clients purchase or lease property.

Financial Tools: NewTown evaluates clients and provides assistance to access these incentive programs:

• Facade Grants: Low-interest and forgivable loan funds are available to property owners wishing to restore the historic facades of downtown buildings.
• Business Incentive Grants: Small businesses preparing to locate downtown may apply for grants of up to $10,000 to assist with marketing, rent and property improvements. NewTown will provide assistance on developing a strong business plan and persuasive application.

Business Training: NewTown hosts business development seminars that are open to the public and also provides individual consultation on strategies for business sustenance and growth. A restaurant school in partnership with Goodwill Industries is coming Fall 2006.

Marketing: NewTown uses its media contacts to publicize the opening of downtown businesses, events or unique opportunities. Please contact our office to plan a grand opening or press conference.
