Amerson Water Works Park
The AGL Resources Picnic Pavilion and Porter Pavilion are both great venues to host your next party or event. The Picnic Pavilion is beside the handicap-accessible KABOOM playground, creating the perfect spot for a birthday party, family reunion, or other family-friendly event. The Picnic Pavilion has 12 covered tables and portable restrooms nearby.
The Porter Pavilion offers a quiet setting overlooking the river. Whether you are hosting a fundraiser, concert, or just a gathering of friends, the Porter Pavilion is a beautiful venue that will accommodate a larger crowd.
Located just off Interstate 75 at Pierce Avenue, Amerson Water Works Park is 180 acres of pristine forests, meadows and wetlands surrounded by a two-mile river oxbow. You may request a rental by using the form below.
Details & Facility Information
AGL Picnic Pavilion
- 12 tables are available in this covered pavilion next to the KABOOM handicap-friendly playground
- There are two portable toilets nearby, a trash receptacle, as well as a dumpster for depositing all trash
- We ask that all visitors please bring your own trash bags and clean up thoroughly at the end of your event
- You may bring a portable grill if you would like, but please use it outside of the pavilion so as not to create a fire hazard
- Parking is free of charge
- Refunds/rescheduling is available if there is a cancellation due to weather
- All other cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance
- There is a water spicket to the left of the playground
- There is no power source available at this part of the park, so we ask that you bring a generator for any of your power needs
- All catering arrangements are the responsibility of the rental party
- Alcohol allowed only by prior approval
Porter Pavilion
- Restrooms, tables, and chairs are the responsibility of the renting party, as are all catering arrangements
- There are no portable toilets currently at the Pavilion but arrangements can be made
- For a large-size group (over 75 people) a security guard must remain in the area to ensure safety for all
- There is a dumpster in the nearby area for depositing all trash
- We ask that all visitors please bring your own trash bags and receptacles for this area of the park
- There is a water source/spicket as well as an outlet panel located to the left of the pavilion with ample power for live bands and caterers
- Extension cords may be required to reach where you would like the band and caterers to be situated
- No grills allowed within 20 feet of the Pavilion structure
- Alcohol allowed only by prior approval
Rental Information
Picnic Pavilion
- Park hours: 9am – 5pm Saturdays and Sundays
- Rental rate: $25 per hour/4 tables (there is a 2-hour minimum)
- Full-day rentals are available at $300/day for the entire pavilion, Monday – Friday ONLY. No full-day rentals are available on Saturday or Sunday.
Porter Pavilion
- Park hours: 9am – 5pm Saturdays and Sundays
- $100 per hour
- $400 per day
- $150 damage/security deposit (returned within 10 business days after the conclusion of the events less any damage/cleanup fees)
