About The Macon Exchange
The Macon Exchange seeks to create a unique shopping experience in downtown Macon while allowing local entrepreneurs to test a brick and mortar storefront in downtown Macon. History of trade runs deep in Macon, Georgia and the namesake of the store pays homage to the exchanging of goods between English traders and Native Americans who once occupied this land. The Macon Exchange will be home to eighteen emerging retail brands from Middle Georgia. The products available in the Macon Exchange will include original art, handmade jewelry, prints, crafts, macarons, bath and body items, spices and rubs, and candles to name a few. The Macon Exchange is a seasonal store that will be open from November 1, 2018 through December 23, 2018.

The Retail Associate is a part-time, hourly exempt position responsible for managing the Macon Exchange retail store. The Retail Associate welcomes customers by greeting them and offers them assistance. The Retail Associate handles customer transactions, provides exemplary customer service, and ensures the Macon Exchange is in a presentable condition. The Retail Associate will also be responsible for assisting with inventory management and notifying vendors when their products need replenished. This position reports to the Project Manager. The successful employee will be trust-worthy, diligent, organized, detail-oriented who can work independently. Furthermore, the successful employee will be able to maintain customer and organizational confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information.
