The Macon community has generously supported NewTown over the years. Your help is needed today to accelerate development in downtown.

In 2012, we will:

• Infuse $5 million in bond funds into shovel-ready projects that will add more than 100 apartments in downtown. More people living downtown will create a 24/7 vibrancy that will improve perceptions of safety and help to attract new businesses.
• Begin construction of 8 miles of trails, pavilions and a boat launch at Amerson Water Works Park with $5.5 million federal grant.
• Launch an effort to restore Capricorn Studios and revive Macon’s legacy as a music city rivaling Memphis and Nashville.
