Comping up this weekend starts our “Festie-Bestie” events here in Downtown Macon. Downtown Macon is home to two amazing festivals: The Macon Film Festival and the Bragg Jam Concert Crawl. This weekend (July 20-23) will be the Film Festival and next weekend (July 28-29) will be Bragg Jam.
Come one weekend, come both, but these are events you do not want to miss! They even sell a special VIP “Festie-Bestie” Pass if you know you want to attend both events!
MACON FILM FESTIVAL
This summer marks the 12th annual Macon Film Festival. Surrounded by a rich musical and southern culture, the Macon Film Festival celebrates independent films while promoting filmmaking for entertainment, inspiration, education, and economic development.
The Festival will feature screenings of independent films from around the world in multiple historic theatres in the city’s downtown district. In addition to film screenings, there will also be celebrity guests, special screenings, and workshops throughout the festival weekend.
Tickets for the film festival range from a single screening pass to a full weekend VIP pass. You can either buy them online or at festival headquarters at Travis Jean (530 Cherry St) If you are interested click here for more information and pricing.

The Bragg Jam Music & Arts Festival is an annual event with performances held across nearly 20 stages featuring over 80 bands scattered throughout Downtown Macon! You will find music spanning a wide variety of genres, so everyone can walk away happy. Your pass lets you pick and choose which acts you would like to see, you have access to everything!
Families can also enjoy kid-friendly events and art before the concert crawl gets started and rockin’ Age restrictions will vary depending on the Venue. Some venues are 18+ and some are 21+
Due to the popularity of this event, all VIP and 2 day passes have sold out.
However, there are still many tickets available for the legendary Concert Crawl Saturday the 29th.

Concert on the Lawn:
The Weekend starts Thursday July 27 with a Free concert on the Lawn event at Coliseum Northside Hospital! This event will be from 7PM – 9PM and is open to everyone. Make sure to bring your own food, drinks, and chairs.

Bragg Jam is expanding! This year, the annual music festival is proud to present an extra night of music with a show at the Cox Capitol Theatre at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 28.
This is the Friday Event where only limited tickets were available. If you were lucky enough to score one, get excited for music from Stokeswood, Cedric Burnside Project, and Hank Vegas
Here, you can find a list of all the performers coming for the Crawl on Saturday July 29. This is the most popular and beloved part of the weekend.
Arts & Kids Festival:
Saturday, before the Concert Crawl, come out for an afternoon of family fun at the annual Free Arts & Kids Festival, located in the Cherry Street Plaza 10AM – 2PM.
There will crafts and live music, as well as free entry into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. Musical guests will include some of this year’s Otis Music Campers. Bounce It Out Party Rentals will be on site to provide rides and inflatable fun.
Street parking is limited to 2 hours from 9AM – 5PM Monday – Friday. The city will issue tickets for parking overtime ($10/ticket and yes, you can get more than one).
On the weekends street parking is free and it is easier to find a space. Weekday lunch is the hardest time to find a space.
