With two young, active children, we stay outside. Amerson Water Works Park is perfect for a picnic lunch or to put in our kayaks for a great two-to-three hour float down the river. We make it a family affair! It is safe and gorgeous and makes for a fun-filled afternoon.
The Ocmulgee Heritage Trail is one of our favorite places – it is the only playground I’ve ever found with shade…and you need shade during hot Macon summers! NewTown Macon really has created a safe, family-friendly parks system in our community. The fact that it is a free service makes it that much more special.
