Growing Jobs

- Netted 61 new businesses
- Leveraged over $135 million in restoration or construction
- Enabled owners to improve or to restore 34 facades
- Assisted the City to establish three Tax Allocation Districts
- Renovated Terminal Station and constructed a bus transfer station
Increasing Residents

- Constructed Cherry Street Lane Parking and Commercial Facility
- Established a $5 million bond with Bibb County for a gap financial pool
- Worked with developers to plan more than 150 apartments and updated a market study which revealed 235 units can be absorbed each year for the next five years
- Demolished and remediated 167 Riverside Drive for future condos
- Raised $500,000 for Georgia for Passenger Rail (GPR) and manages the GPR initiative to include the rail in the regional T-SPLOST
Creating A Sense of Place

- Constructed Cherry Street Plaza
- Secured a $5.5 million federal grant to construct pavilions, canoe and boat launches, trails, and playground at Amerson Water Works Park
- Launched an environmental education program in partnership with Museum of Arts & Sciences
- Constructed Ocmulgee Heritage Trail extensions to the Levee along Riverside Drive and Riverside Cemetery, began the Redding Bridge loop and extension to Walnut Creek, and preserved the historic William G. Lee Camellia Gardens
- Provided new lighting, paving, and painting in 2 alleyways and improved the MLK/Riverside gateway
- Took over management of the Sports Hall of Fame
- Expanded First Friday to every Friday and added GetDown[town], Cherry Blossom Ball Drop, and the Fly South Fest
- Placed 64 markers on historic buildings and acquired Capricorn Studios
