In 2012, NewTown launched a new five-year strategic plan and capital campaign. Continuing our mission for growing jobs, we decided to focus our efforts at building businesses on three target blocks. These blocks include the 400 and 500 blocks of Cherry St. and the 500 Block of Poplar. In 2012, the 100 storefronts in these blocks were only 52% occupied. As of 2015, we have reached 70% occupancy.
