Georgians for Passenger Rail

Georgians for Passenger Rail represents community and business leaders statewide who believe that a fully developed passenger rail system, connecting Macon and Atlanta, is critical to keep Georgia competitive. Reconnecting Georgia’s communities through passenger rail will achieve new economic opportunities, enhance quality of life, and provide a better environment.

NewTown Macon and the Peyton Anderson Foundation led a community-wide effort to raise $500,000 to help GPR promote passenger rail service between Macon and Atlanta. NewTown provides administrative support to the effort.
