NewTown Macon provides administrative support and management of three organizations that play a vital role in the revitalization of downtown Macon – The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, Georgians for Passenger Rail, and the Gateway Initiative.
Hall of Fame
NewTown established Halls of Fame, Inc., on behalf of the Macon community to keep the Sports Hall of Fame as a viable downtown institution.
Passenger Rail
NewTown helped raise $500,000 for GPR, a state-wide organization that advocates for the re-institution of passenger rail in Georgia.
Gateway Macon
NewTown serves as the fiscal agent for The Gateway Initiative, which is a collaborative effort drawing attention to Macon’s assets and benefits.
